Decades ago, Route 28 was rebuilt as a highway which bypassed the town of North Creek so many people drive right by it without knowing there is a charming little town right off the highway. Off Route 28, there are four entrances into the town of North Creek marked by various signs. In town is a Tops Grocery Store, liquor store, restaurants and shops. From our place, go all the way to the bottom of the mountain to Route 28 to a stop sign … you’ll be facing the Hudson River. Take a right on Route 28. Go about five miles. There are four left hand turns that all take you into the town of North Creek.
