SWIMMING
NEARBY GORGEOUS 13TH LAKE - PRISTINE, UNSPOILED AND MAGNIFICENT!
Sitting on edge of the Siamese Ponds Wilderness Area, nearby Thirteenth Lake is a completely unspoiled Adirondack lake. Thirteenth Lake is a wild and beautiful clear wilderness lake with no evidence of human activity. With no power boats permitted on the lake, this is a gorgeous spot to relax, swim, kayak or canoe. Swim into the middle of the lake, lay on your back and contemplate the majesty of the mountains above you as you listen to the sounds of nature and the call of the loons.
Directions: Go down Cemetery Road and take a right on 13th Lake Road. Follow the winding road about 3 miles; bear right on Beach Road. There is a parking area and short trails which lead in to the lake.
LAKE ABANAKEE IN INDIAN LAKE
Directions: Go down Cemetery Road and go left on 13th Lake Road to the bottom to 28. Go left on 28 and go about 16 miles. Just after you go over a causeway, go right to the town beach. Sandy beach, life guard on most days, great for children to run around and swim.
NORTH CREEK: GRUNBLATT BEACH

HUDSON RIVER
The Hudson River originates in the Adirondacks and is pure gorgeous water. Spend an hour in the river and you will leave with soft smooth skin and silky hair. There are several rest stops along 28 on the way to North Creek where you can slip in easily and enjoy bathing. But creep slowly in and out as the rocks are very slippery. River shoes are great if you have them.
